1. Install Ledger Live app
Download the Ledger Live app from the official Ledger website. The Ledger Live app is available for desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux) and mobile (iOS, Android). Always verify you downloaded the Ledger Live app from the official source.
- Visit the official Ledger site and find the Ledger Live app download page.
- Choose your platform and run the Ledger Live app installer.
- Open the Ledger Live app and follow the on-screen setup instructions.
2. Set up your Ledger device with Ledger Live
Use the Ledger Live app to set up a new device or to restore an existing device. The Ledger Live app guides you through creating a PIN and writing down your recovery phrase — do this securely and offline.

3. Add accounts in Ledger Live app
After setting up the device, use the Ledger Live app to add cryptocurrency accounts. The Ledger Live app synchronizes with the blockchain to display balances and transaction history.
- Open Ledger Live app and go to Accounts.
- Click Add account, choose the coin, and follow prompts while your device is connected.
- Ledger Live app will scan for existing addresses and add the account to your portfolio.
4. Send & receive using Ledger Live app
Use the Ledger Live app to send and receive crypto. All transaction signing happens on your Ledger device — Ledger Live app only displays the details and forwards the signing request securely.
- To receive: In Ledger Live app, select an account and click Receive. Verify the address on your Ledger device before sharing.
- To send: Choose Send in Ledger Live app, enter the destination, and confirm the transaction on your device.

- Only download the Ledger Live app from Ledger's official site.
- Never enter your recovery phrase into any app or website, including the Ledger Live app.
